Subject: PSERVER Not Working if Printers Spooled in NETGEN
Date: January 25, 1991

PROBLEM: A customer was running SFT NetWare v2.15c with the PSERVER
VAP loaded and two printers (one queued for the VAP the
other for the file server). The print jobs would get to the
queues, but only one printer would print; the other printer
would show off-line and the job would remain in the queue.
In theory, you should be able to have both so long as you
don't assign any of the same printers and queues to both the
VAP and the file server. In practice, however, it does not
work.
SOLUTION: Novell recommends ONLY going one way or the other as a
matter of policy. Either have all the printers spooled in
NETGEN or have all of them assigned to the VAP in PCONSOLE.
